Welcome to Our Awana Program!

AWANA is an international, nondenominational, Bible-centered youth organization providing weekly club meetings and programs for children and youth. Our program meets on Sunday nights, from 6:00-7:30 pm, through the school year.

AwanaThe acrostic AWANA comes from the first letters of "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" (2 Timothy 2:15)

In each weekly club meeting there are three segments: Game time (Boy, do we have fun then!); handbook time, where we work in small groups to memorize Bible verses; and council/story time, where we learn about God, Jesus, and the Bible.

Each night ends with a special awards ceremony for those clubbers who have earned badges, stickers, and jewels for their uniforms. We also have special theme nights (where we dress in certain costumes or clothes), craft nights, and even special snack nights.

Clubbers are divided into age-appropriate groups:
Cubbies: A 2-year preschool program for children ages 3-4 years old
Sparks: A 3-year program for children in kindergarten through second grade
Truth & Training (T&T): A 4-year program for clubbers in grades 3 - 6

Our Summer Hill AWANA program has 14 committed adult leaders to assist our clubbers. For more information on our Awana's Program, contact our Awana Commander, Keith Hilliard.

Bible Gateway Verse of the Day

John 1:12-13
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
